Last updated: April 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering for or using Gaskiya.ng ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform. These terms apply to all users including administrators, lawyers, and staff members of registered law firms.

2. Description of Service

Gaskiya.ng is a legal practice management platform designed for Nigerian law firms. It provides tools for case management, client records, hearing scheduling, document storage, billing and invoicing, and team collaboration. The Platform is provided on a subscription basis with plans as described on our pricing page.

3. Account Registration

To use the Platform, you must register a firm account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration and to keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Each firm receives a unique subdomain (e.g., yourfirm.gaskiya.ng) which cannot be transferred.

4. Subscription and Payment

Access to paid features requires an active subscription. All subscriptions begin with a 14-day free trial. After the trial, continued access requires payment of the applicable plan fee. Payments are processed by Paystack. Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by Nigerian law. We reserve the right to suspend access for non-payment.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Platform to:

  • Violate any applicable Nigerian law or regulation
  • Store or transmit unlawful, defamatory, or fraudulent content
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other accounts or our systems
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or copy any part of the Platform
  • Use the Platform to compete with or build a competing product

6. Data and Confidentiality

All case, client, and billing data you enter belongs to your firm. We do not sell, share, or use your data for any purpose other than providing the service. We store all data securely and take reasonable measures to prevent unauthorised access. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

7. Intellectual Property

The Platform, including its design, code, and content, is owned by Gaskiya.ng and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Your firm retains ownership of all data you upload. You grant us a limited licence to store and process your data solely to provide the service.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law, Gaskiya.ng shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the subscription fees paid by your firm in the three months preceding the claim.

9. Service Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance that temporarily affects access and will provide reasonable advance notice where possible. We are not liable for downtime caused by circumstances beyond our control.

10. Termination

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. We may terminate or suspend your account if you breach these terms. Upon termination, you may request a data export within 30 days. After 30 days, your data may be permanently deleted.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify registered users by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
